Question: I have a Toyota Hilux VIGO 2006 car, after a long time used, the instrument panel appears a red T-Belt symbol. What it is warning light? How can I clear it?
Answer: Hi, the light is not warning a fault; it is only reminding you to replace a new Cam timing belt for safety reason. Therefore, you should do this task periodically, it is not good even dangerous if you only try to reset this light. When replace new Cam timing belt you should note:
- Stop the engine, keep this state steadily and change the N gear position, pull the hand brake, unfasten the old belt (rotate the engine is not allowed this time).
- Replace new belt
- Reset this periodically maintenance system as following instructions:

Alarming light on instrument panel

  - Turn the ignition key “ON”; Press the adjustment knob on the instrument panel to return the “TRIP A” display mode; and turn off the ignition key
- Press and keep the adjustment knob to turn on the ignition key
- Continue press and keep it in about 5 seconds
- Release the knob and press it again within 5 seconds
- T-Bell mode is displayed on the instrument panel the number 15 means 150 000 km
- Here you can set an interval value of the belt or reset all by press one or more times, each time is equivalent to 10 000 km until the number up to 200 000 km is the last number.
(Note: If your manipulation is too slow, the system will automatically log out “ODO” mode within 30 seconds) Good luck!
